textlint: Proofreader is a Chrome extension developed by IRIDE Monad. It is a free add-on tool that allows users to proofread their texts as they type, based on textlint rules.
textlint is a pluggable, extensible, and powerful tool for proofreading texts. This extension serves as a wrapper that enables the use of textlint directly in the browser.
Upon activating the extension, users will see red highlighting markers on the text they are typing. These markers indicate errors detected by textlint, providing users with visual cues to identify and correct mistakes.
Additionally, textlint: Proofreader offers an "Auto-Fix" feature that automatically corrects text errors. Users have the flexibility to revert any changes made by the Auto-Fix feature if they prefer.
It's important to note that while textlint: Proofreader bundles linting rules to support browser usage, not all linting rules are compatible with web browsers. Furthermore, the "Auto-Fix" feature is currently supported by only a limited number of linting rules.
